Cambridge Attractions

Situated along the Charles River, across from downtown Boston, Cambridge is home to some of the country's brightest minds - calling both Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) home. While Cambridge offers many of the quintessential college town characteristics, it also offers a wide range of attractions. From museums, fantastic shopping, ethnic restaurants and art galleries, both visitors and locals alike will find their fancy in Cambridge.

A great way to explore Cambridge and experience the city's diversity is to "square hope". Cambridge has been called "the city of squares", where small commercial districts have flourished at popular intersections. Located at our hotels' doorstop is Harvard Square, undoubtedly the most recognized and busiest of the city's squares. Acting as a hub, visitors can then venture in either direction: snaking up Massachusetts Avenue towards Porter Square or down "Mass Ave" heading towards Boston stopping at Central Square and Kendall Square.

No trip to Cambridge is without a visit across the river to Boston. A best bet for a first time visitor to "the Hub" or anyone with a passion for history is to walk the Boston Freedom Trail - a 2.5 mile walking tour through Boston that covers 17 historic sites connecting "Beantown" back to the American Independence and up modern day. And for baseball fans, a visit to Fenway Park, America's oldest continually used ballpark, certainly is a must.
